Brass Plate Resonator

Photo of Brass Plate Resonator

Four string fretted CBG.

Gone for a flirt with Steampunk on this one. Brass plate as a resonator sat in a large, old cutlery box. Single coil pickup with volume and tone controls, using brass radiator keys.

The neck is a Hemlock staircase spindle with a solid oak fretboard.

25 1/2” scale length tuned GDGB.

Solid steel nut and brass tailpiece.

The interaction of the brass plate and the single coil pickup gives out a warm vintage tone.

This is a fast, low action guitar that’s (very!) addictive to play.
